Meet Lauren!
Lauren is a 3-time UF Graduate with B.S. Recreation Therapy, B.S. Nursing, and MSN Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner degrees.
While completing her RN, she worked at the Malcom Randall Veterans Hospital in Gainesville, FL as a Recreation Therapist. Lauren re-opened the hospital pool and started an Aquatic Therapy program. As a nurse, she worked at Shands in Labor and Delivery, and Jupiter Medical Center as the night charge nurse in Labor and Delivery.
Upon completing her Master's in 2006, Lauren worked in an OB/GYN office in Ocala, FL , and after a year she joined an OB/GYN practice in Gainesville, FL.
Lauren always had a desire to support the medically under-served communities . In 2010, she opened A Woman's Place in Chiefland, FL. In 2015, Lauren expanded the building, and added Family Practice and Pediatrics- Family and After Hours Care/ A Family Place.
Her patients become family with strong, trusting relationships. She dedicates herself to providing personable care, and makes sure her patients are not treated like numbers.
Lauren also strives to build relationships with local businesses to show her support!
Lauren was raised in Stuart, FL and has a love for boating and fishing. In April 2020, Lauren decided to move back to the water and be closer to her family.
In December of 2020, Lauren opened Oceanside Medical Center situated in the Hammock.
In June of 2022, Lauren turned Oceanside Medical Center into a Direct Primary Care facility which allows patients to have 24/7 access to her.
